2. Purpose of the website

This website presents holiday rentals located in Morocco and may also include travel-journal content, practical information and links to third-party booking platforms.

No booking, reservation request, payment or rental contract is concluded directly on this website.

Reservations are made exclusively through third-party booking platforms, such as Airbnb or Booking.com, under the terms, prices, payment rules, cancellation policies and dispute procedures of the relevant platform.

The information displayed on this website is provided for general presentation purposes only. The binding booking information is the information confirmed through the relevant third-party booking platform.

3. Acceptance of these terms

Access to and use of this website are subject to these terms.

If you do not agree with these terms, you should not use the website.

These website terms govern use of the website only. They do not replace the terms of any third-party booking platform or the stay contract and accommodation documents required for the stay.

4. Use of the website

You agree to use the website lawfully and fairly.

You must not:

  • disrupt or attempt to disrupt the operation or security of the website;
  • attempt unauthorised access to the website, its systems or its data;
  • use the website for fraudulent, misleading or unlawful purposes;
  • copy, extract or reuse website content by automated means without prior written permission, except for normal search-engine indexing or uses permitted by law.

5. Intellectual property

The website content, including text, photographs, visuals, layout, logos, trade names and trademarks, belongs to Altitude Habitat, its licensors or its partners, unless otherwise stated.

Any reproduction, distribution, modification, extraction or reuse of all or part of the website content without prior written permission is prohibited, except where permitted by law.

Third-party trademarks, including the names or logos of booking platforms, belong to their respective owners.

6. Third-party booking platforms and external links

The website may contain links to third-party websites or platforms, including booking platforms and social networks.

Altitude Habitat does not control those third-party websites or platforms and is not responsible for their content, availability, security, technical operation, privacy practices, booking conditions, payment processing, cancellation procedures, refund handling, guest-account rules or dispute procedures.

If you make a reservation through a third-party booking platform, the booking relationship is governed by that platform's own terms and policies.

7. Stays and Moroccan accommodation formalities

After a reservation has been made through a third-party booking platform, Altitude Habitat may be required to collect certain guest and stay information for the preparation of the stay contract and for Moroccan accommodation formalities, including the fiche de police or individual accommodation bulletin where applicable.

Guests must provide accurate and complete information reasonably required for these purposes.

Refusal to provide mandatory information may prevent check-in or continuation of the stay where the information is required by applicable law or accommodation formalities.

The stay contract, house rules and any mandatory accommodation documents prevail for obligations specific to the stay.

8. Guest identity and administrative data

Altitude Habitat collects only the personal data necessary to prepare and manage the stay contract and to complete Moroccan accommodation formalities.

Depending on the stay and applicable requirements, this data may include:

  • surname and first name;
  • date and place of birth;
  • nationality;
  • identity document or passport number;
  • address and contact details;
  • stay dates and accommodation details;
  • information required for the fiche de police or individual accommodation bulletin;
  • signature of the stay contract or required accommodation form.

Altitude Habitat may ask to see an identity document in order to verify the accuracy of the information provided.

Altitude Habitat does not retain copies, scans or photographs of identity documents and does not store ID pictures.

9. Data protection and privacy

Altitude Habitat is responsible for the personal data it collects for the purposes described in these terms.

Personal data is processed only for the following purposes:

  • preparing, signing and performing the stay contract;
  • completing Moroccan accommodation formalities, including the fiche de police or individual accommodation bulletin where applicable;
  • complying with legal and administrative obligations;
  • managing the stay, guest communications, security, claims or disputes.

Altitude Habitat does not use guest data for advertising profiling, behavioural tracking or resale to third parties.

Personal data may be disclosed only where necessary to:

  • competent Moroccan authorities, where required or authorised by law;
  • professional advisers, courts, insurers or authorities, where necessary for legal, accounting, insurance, dispute-management or compliance purposes;
  • technical or administrative service providers acting only on Altitude Habitat's instructions, where strictly necessary for the operation of the website or management of the stay.

Altitude Habitat takes reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, alteration, disclosure or misuse.

Guest data and the stay contract are retained for one (1) year where required under Moroccan law for accommodation formalities, unless a longer retention period is required by mandatory law or is necessary for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

After the applicable retention period, the data is deleted, anonymised or securely archived where legally required.

In accordance with applicable data-protection law, guests may request access to, correction of, or opposition to the processing of their personal data where legally available.

Altitude Habitat complies with applicable formalities before the Moroccan data-protection authority, the CNDP, where required.

10. European Union users and GDPR

This website does not allow bookings, reservation requests or payments to be made directly through the website.

Altitude Habitat does not use the website to track or monitor the behaviour of users located in the European Union.

Altitude Habitat does not use advertising trackers, behavioural analytics tools, profiling cookies or social-media tracking pixels.

Guest data is collected after a reservation has been made through a third-party booking platform and is processed only for the stay contract and Moroccan accommodation formalities.

Where mandatory data-protection rules apply, Altitude Habitat will comply with those rules.

11. No trackers or advertising cookies

The website does not use advertising trackers, behavioural analytics tools, profiling cookies, analytics cookies or social-media tracking pixels.

The website may use only technical elements strictly necessary for its display, security or basic operation.

If the website later uses analytics, advertising cookies, tracking pixels or similar technologies, this notice will be updated and, where required, a consent mechanism will be implemented.

12. Information on the website

Altitude Habitat makes reasonable efforts to keep the information on the website accurate and up to date.

However, descriptions, availability, photographs, amenities, travel information and other content may change.

The information on the website is provided for general information and presentation only. The binding information for a reservation is the information confirmed through the relevant third-party booking platform.

Altitude Habitat does not guarantee that the website will be uninterrupted, error-free or free from technical issues.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Altitude Habitat is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from:

  • use of the website;
  • inability to access the website;
  • reliance on general information published on the website;
  • use of third-party booking platforms;
  • technical failure, interruption or unavailability of third-party websites or platforms.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

14. Force majeure

Altitude Habitat cannot be held liable for delay or non-performance caused by an event beyond its reasonable control, including natural disaster, fire, flood, epidemic, act of authority, strike, civil disturbance, network outage, utility failure, platform failure or any other event of force majeure recognised by applicable law.

15. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by Moroccan law, subject to any mandatory rights or protections that may apply under consumer, data-protection or other applicable laws.

The parties will first seek to resolve any dispute amicably.

Failing amicable resolution, disputes shall be submitted to the competent Moroccan courts, except where mandatory applicable law gives the user the right to bring proceedings before another court.

16. Changes to these terms

Altitude Habitat may amend these terms from time to time.

The applicable version is the version published on the website at the time of your visit.

Changes to these website terms do not retroactively modify a reservation made through a third-party booking platform or any stay contract already signed, unless required by law or expressly agreed by the parties.
